Tea Talk & Bathroom Update

How has everyone been? I feel like so many of us are cycling through some kind of viral cold and it just keeps going around with no break. We’re finally recovering from all sorts of stuff in our house. At this point I have a whole cold protocol that I run through whenever someone’s sick in the house. But if there’s one thing I swear by, it’s this cold busting homemade tea:

Cold Buster Tea - Pennies for a Fortune

Boil 5 cloves, a cinnamon stick, 4 pods of cardamom (optional), 4 peppercorns, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (or freshly grated), 1/2 tsp freshly grated ginger in 2 cups of water and let simmer for 7 mins. Strain and have with honey. I give it to Zaki and he loves it! Sometimes I add my black tea teabag to it and add cream. So. Good. You can skip any of the ingredients you don’t have, but the most important ones are cloves, cinnamon and ginger. Try it and tell me how you like it!

Okay back to regular programming. You won’t believe it but phase 1 of the guest bathroom is finished! The vanity and toilet are both in, the mirror is up, and all that’s left is the finishing touches. My favorite part. The guest bedroom is a mess of decor, artwork and tchotchkes all waiting to dress up the bathroom. If you watched my show Problem Spaces you know I love having all options laid out before I style a space. I’m racing against time here to take pictures and videos because I need to submit everything to the brand for review asap and my shower curtain isn’t here yet!!

If all goes well I should have a phase 1 bathroom reveal for you by next week. Fingers and toes all crossed.

What’s phase 2, you ask? Okay so phase 2 is all about the shower area – I’m taking out the bathtub and old shower tile and continuing the current tile throughout. I also want to add some sort of crown moulding but let’s see how this can wrap it around the shower area.

Um, I think this is getting way too long, also it’s 10:19PM and I should sleep! As always, feel free to reply to this email, I love hearing from you. Thank you for being here and for all your love and kindness 🙂

Problem Spaces Episode #5 Recap
