My Summer Plans

You guys! My kitchen is being painted this week! It was SO hard to pick a color from my five million paint swatches – all of them a shade of beige of course. I finally decided on Natural Tan by Sherwin Williams. This might be the perfect opportunity to reorganize the kitchen drawers and cabinets. The vent hood arrived earlier this week and I just need to install it. Instead of making my own I ordered a custom vent hood from Hoodsly in the angled without trim style.

I have a big family reunion happening over the summer, my family is getting together first in Chicago where my brother lives and then we all meet up in Houston at my place. My eldest brother and his family are visiting from Dubai and his kids are like my first babies. I literally grew up with them ❤️ That’s why I wanted to keep DIY to a minimum this summer so I can just enjoy my time with family and not worry too much about the house being a mess (which it still might be hah!).

Between domestic travel to Chicago, then a short trip to LA, and then a longer trip to London and Switzerland in August I’ve got my hands full! I’m SO thankful to be visiting Switzerland again, this time with Hassaan’s family. I’m going to share all the best things to do with you of course.

As always, feel free to write back to me and I want to know what your plans for the summer are! Any tips for flying with a feisty 2 year old on a long haul flight?

I finally got rid of the carpet in my office!!

I replaced the carpet in our home office with LVP flooring to match the rest of our house! Our spec home came with a rustic cool toned LVP floor which I don’t love but also don’t want to replace everywhere. Our office, however had carpet which was so annoying with desk chairs and just didn’t go with the vibe.
