10 Unique Features of the Samsung Family Hub

Hey Guys! It’s been a while since I gave you an update on how we are liking our Samsung French Door Refrigerator with Family Hub™. Here’s a hint: we love it!

If you’re new to my page and are curious about our initial experience with the Family Hub fridge you should check out my initial review here. It’s been more than six months since we first got this double door fridge and I am happy to report that we’ve found a great rhythm in our daily routine.

Let’s start off with the basics, our Family Hub™ is a three door French Door, Energy Star-rated fridge with a stainless steel finish and a large touch screen with unique capabilities. In the past six months we have discovered our favorite features of the Samsung fridge and here they are!

 

Unique Modern Fridge Design

You know I’m a sucker for good design right? Well, not only does the Family Hub™ fridge have a good design, it also has a space efficient design which allows for larger storage capacity, and stretches the 26.4 cu ft even more! The exterior is fingerprint resistant which is perfect if you have little ones around (or a messy husband lol).

Organization Flexibility

Given the spacious interior you have a ton of options for fridge organization. The multiple drawer dividers give you options of how to space out the interior. I like the bottom pull out drawer to store deli meats, eggs, and cheese for easy access.

Keeps food fresh longer

The All-Round Cooling and multi-vent technology features help keep food fresh for longer by maintaining a stable temperature on each shelf.

Meal Planning

Okay, I don’t know about you but I need all the help with meal planning and this is one of the most unique features of the Family Hub™ refrigerator. There is a built-in recipe index which you can search from and add to your weekly menu. You can also cook with what you have and find related recipes because the Family Hub™ keeps track of what is inside your fridge!

Smart Grocery Shopping

Here’s where things get real exciting. Once you’ve meal planned, you can add ingredients to your smart grocery list and make grocery shopping a breeze! Who doesn’t like an efficient grocery list with all the exact ingredients you need for the week!

View inside remotely

Well, what if you’re at the store and you can’t remember if you have milk or not? Guys, you can remotely view the inside of your Family Hub™ refrigerator from wherever you are via the SmartThings app on your phone. No more guesswork in grocery shopping!

Family calendars

I love staying connected with my family and especially knowing my hubby’s work schedule and Zaki’s school events – the family calendars feature allows us to always be in the loop and keep track of eachother’s schedules. I particularly love leaving notes for Hassaan to see in the morning when he’s making his cup of tea 🙂

Play music with Spotify

This feature of the Samsung Family Hub™ is probably Zaki’s favorite. He loves playing music on Spotify and having a mini dance party in the kitchen! Not gonna lie, I love the entertainment options myself too – from listening to the news or my favorite podcast while I’m working is pretty awesome.

TV mirroring with Samsung TV

Another great feature is that we can mirror what’s playing on our Samsung TV and play it on the fridge! I didn’t even know that was possible until recently and there’s so much more about the fridge that I keep on learning and appreciating.

10 year Warranty

Last but definitely not the least the warranty the fridge comes with is amazing! The Digital Invertor Compressor has a 10-year warranty and the rest of the refrigerator system comes with a 5 year warranty on parts and labor. We love having that peace of mind in case we ever need it!

Over the years we have slowly been transitioning to all Samsung appliances in our home and genuinely love the products. If you’re in the market for a new refrigerator, I 100% recommend the Samsung Family Hub™ and guarantee you will love it as much as we do.
