Part 1 of turning my very sad, very builder-grade Part 1 of turning my very sad, very builder-grade backyard into a dreamy cottage garden 🌿 I went all in on low-maintenance, heat-loving plants (because Houston 💁‍♀️) and focused on layering tall, mid, and groundcover so it actually feels full. Here’s what I planted: • Lantanas (4) • Maynight salvia (6) • Coreopsis (3) • Coral honeysuckle (2) • Turk’s cap (5) • Pink muhly grass (3) • Winecup (7) • Primrose (10) • Horseherb (10) Everything is either native or super well adapted, so once this fills in… it should basically take care of itself 🤞I still need to do so much work, I need to sort out the dining area next!
