Laundry Room Makeover with The Home Depot
Friends, it’s finally done! My laundry room makeover is complete and I couldn’t be happier! It looks just like I had imagined with all of the beautiful pattern play and functional elements like a long countertop and upper cabinets.
If you’re new here you should check out part one of the laundry makeover from last year when I painted the laundry floor tile. And here is the tutorial for the countertop I made which I sadly said goodbye to recently.
When I made the initial changes to the room we didnt have two cats! That really changed things because we had a giant litter robot sitting in the laundry room that was a huge eyesore. I wanted to come up with a creative way to hide it and make it look pretty as well. I decided to add a long countertop and ordered a tension rod from The Home Depot to get it conveniently delivered to my door. I love that most of this project was done without running multiple trips to the store, I ordered most of my supplies and material from The Home Depot’s website – the easiest way to get it home.
I also ordered three upper wall cabinets to go on top of my existing shelves and made them look built in by adding spacers in between and trim on the sides.
The wallpaper and beadboard were one of the first few things I added to the space and that really set the tone for the rest of the design. I used Home Depot’s wallpaper calculator tool to figure out how much wallpaper I needed and it really took the guesswork out of the job.
All in all, I am so happy I took on this project and made my laundry room more functional than it was before and our kitties now have a spa litter area which is hidden behind the curtain!
