Upcycle Old Furniture with Spray Paint

The simplest 24 hour makeover

You guys already know I’m working on my office makeover and getting things sorted before the official start of the One Room Challenge. I’m always scouring facebook marketplace for cheap finds to upcycle and use in the room and keep the budget as low as possible. If you look often enough you find gems like this chair which retails for $149 at IKEA, listed on fb marketplace for only $40! I know IKEA furniture isn’t usually great but this chair is seriously chic, with it’s rattan seat and sleek frame. The only problem – I wasn’t a fan of the boring grey metal. That’s where the simplest 24 hour makeover comes in.

All I did was wrap it up with some plastic wrap and painters tape and took my trustee can of spray paint to the job. This time I used Krylon’s Matte Black paint+primer and it saved me an extra coat of primer! One simple tool and a few hours later, I had a totally awesome new chair for my office makeover.
