Vintage Modern Playroom Makeover – sponsored

It’s reveal day for my vintage modern playroom makeover! Come see the before and after!

It’s time, friends! It’s finally reveal day for the One Room Challenge and I couldn’t be happier with how the vintage modern playroom makeover turned out! Before we get to the pretty pictures of this gender neutral playroom lets take a look at the before of this space:

playroom before makeover:

vintage modern playroom plan

So the plan was to add board and batten, some cute wallpaper (here is my tutorial) and of course the star of the room the DIY swing! I also gave a quick makeover to the play kitchen, read about that here. We are missing a few things from this final modern playroom makeover reveal – the window treatments, updated doorknobs, and a chair! (the chair in the pictures is a temporary one from my art room). I won’t keep you waiting for the vintage modern playroom pictures, a space for our family to relax and hangout in! All product sources are mentioned at the end.

Welcome to our new plaroom! This space is meant to be a creative area for our family and friends
On the other side of the room we have a dedicated spot for zaki to write and draw, and of course, the swing!
The play kitchen and teepee tent are essential for creative play 🙂 Inside this ottoman are bulkier toys
Of course I have my own designated spot in the room! I love being able to display my favorite pieces on the floating shleves
No room is complete without artwork
One of the showstoppers in this room is the vintage rug from Revival Rugs
Sometimes I find him “hiding” in here with his dinosaurs 🙂

Alright guys, I hope you enjoyed watching this room transform into a space we are so thrilled with. I am so happy to share all my playroom inspiration and ideas with you. Now let’s go check out what other participants have created and I’m sure we’re going to see some incredible room makeovers today!
